Catherine’s Dream, by Roxanne Bocyck, is a story inspired by true events about a young woman who came to America in 1921 from Poland under an arranged marriage with a dream in her heart and a lost romance only to face an unpredictable twist of fate that will bring her closer to her dream. https://roxannebocyck.com/
Set against the tumultuous backdrop of World War I and the subsequent 1920s, A Love Story in the Time of the Great War, by Sandra Gowing, tells the story of young love and the challenges that follow. Philip Boughton, a Michigan native, joins the Army to serve his country and see the world. Just before his deployment, he meets Doris Bowman in Syracuse, NY, and they embark on a whirlwind romance that leads to marriage. As Philip heads off to fight in France, Doris waits patiently at home, both dreaming of a future together. However, upon Philip's return, they must confront the harsh realities of their new lives and the impact of war on their hopes and dreams. Inspired by a photograph of her grandparents, Doris and Philip, author Sandra Gowing spent eight years researching and crafting this heartfelt narrative, bringing their love story to life. https://www.sandragowing.com/
