Volunteer

Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Eastwood 5 Mile Run!

More info about volunteer opportunities for the 2024 race will be posted in the summer.

Our greatest need is for corner monitors! The race is on an open course meaning it isn’t fully closed to vehicle traffic during the race. Corner monitors are assigned to an intersection on the course to help direct runners and traffic. This is crucial to providing a safe and enjoyable experience to all the runners that visit our neighborhood. With over 60 intersections on the course, we need lots of neighbors to help out with this task. The map below shows the race route and the key corner monitor locations.

Other volunteer tasks include:

  • Packet pick-up on Saturday before the race

  • Set-up on Saturday before the race

  • Registration / packet pick-up on race day

  • Parking attendant

  • Bicyclists (to travel with runners)

  • Post-race refreshments

  • Water stations

  • Water and medals at finish line

  • Clean up
