Eastwood Home & Garden Tour Sunday, July 13!

We all love an excuse to check out our neighbors’ houses and now you can be a “nosy neighbor” for a good cause!

You can buy tickets in advance via the button below. Pick up your pre-purchased wristbands and programs or buy yours on the day of the event between 10:00 and Noon at 930 James Street, The Mansion on James. Five Eastwood homes and gardens will be open to tour from 11:00 - 2:00. 

This year’s tour includes:

• guided tours of The Historic Barnes Mansion (The Mansion on James),

• the oldest house in Eastwood once known as the “Shabby House,”

• a 1920s Craftsman bungalow purchased 25 years ago as a HUD foreclosure and lovingly restored by it’s architect owner,

• a 1920s Colonial that wishes it was a Craftsman bungalow, full of DIY renovation projects (and backyard chickens!),

• and the “buy nothing” house, a stylish 1930s bungalow, where you’d never guess that nearly all the decor was free or thrifted.

$12 tickets raise money for Eastwood beautification projects. If you’d like to make a supplementary donation to the Beautification Fund, you can do so here.

The Eastwood Community Garden Needs Your Support!

You may have noticed the beautiful new pathways installed at the Eastwood Community Garden! Not only are they beautiful, but they make the garden wheelchair accessible. This $38,000 project was funded by the City of Syracuse, Eastwood TNT, and ENA.

We’re now looking for the community’s support to put some finishing touches on the project - plants, mulch, trellises, wheelchair accessible raised beds, and an arbor. Please consider donating for a specific item or making a general contribution of any amount you’re able, via the link below.

19th Annual Eastwood 5-Mile Run

The race is Sunday, October 19. Registration is $35 through August 31! Price increases to $40 after that. As always, we'll need lots of volunteers and will send out more information on that later in the summer.
