Saturday, August 3, 9am-3pm at the corner of James & Grant at Eastwood Road across from Walgreens. This market offers original artwork, beautiful vintage/antique goods, quality arts & crafts, fun repurposed goods, garage sale items and so much more! Great food vendors!

Kids Outdoor Movie Night

Friday, August 9 at Sunnycrest Park.

Bring your popcorn and lawn chairs (and mosquito repellant!) and join us for an outdoor movie next Friday night! Syracuse Parks & Rec is playing Surf's Up! Movie Starts at Dusk.

18th Annual Eastwood 5-Mile Run Presented by Skinner & Associates Realty

Sunday, October 20

Early bird run registration is $30 until the end of August.

We’re looking for volunteers! Help us show off how awesome Eastwood is!  Our greatest need is for corner monitors. The race is on an open course meaning it isn’t fully closed to vehicle traffic during the race. Corner monitors are assigned to an intersection on the course to help direct runners and traffic. This is crucial to providing a safe and enjoyable experience to all the runners that visit our neighborhood. With over 60 intersections on the course, we need lots of neighbors to help out with this task. 

Other volunteer tasks include: 

• Packet pick-up on Saturday before the race

• Set-up on Saturday before the race

• Registration / packet pick-up on race day

• Parking attendant

• Bicyclists (to travel with runners)

• Post-race refreshments 

• Water stations

• Water and medals at finish line

• Clean up 

2024 ENA Community Scholarships

ENA is proud to award two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who live in Eastwood.

Ben Ayers, awarded the Tom White Scholarship, is graduating from Henninger High School. He plans to major in sports management.

Ryan Millay, awarded the Margaret McVicker Scholarship, is graduating from Bishop Grimes. He plans to major in business.

In addition, ENA has, in honor of past ENA president Aaron Wood, donated $1,000 to the Henninger Cross Country program to help fund their trip to the Manhattan Cross Country Invitational this fall.

The annual Eastwood Five Mile Run raises money for our Community Scholarship Program.  

Walk Eastwood Challenge

Eastwood is Syracuse’s largest and most walkable neighborhood. To prove it, we’re walking all 99 streets, 43 miles of roads, this summer. And we’re challenging our neighbors to get out and walk every street in Eastwood with us! Come join us and get to know Eastwood.

This is our 2nd Annual Walk Eastwood Challenge. Get started now! You can track your walk on a paper map, using this list of Eastwood streets, or using one of many free walk tracking apps.

This year we’re using the honor system. 2024 Walk Eastwood Challenge shirts must be ordered by October 1 to pick yours up at our 2024 ENA Annual Meeting on October 29.

Second Saturday Skateboard Sessions

Next class: August 10, 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the East Woods Skate Plaza

ENA is partnering with Syracuse Parks & Rec to offer skills clinics for beginning skateboarders ages 8-13 on the second Saturday of each month, May - September.

Come join us at the East Woods Skate Plaza for open skateboarding skills clinics on the second Saturday of each month. All skill levels are welcome. Skateboards available to borrow if needed. Padding encouraged.

Free for City residents. Walk-ins welcome!

ENA is an all volunteer organization and members of ENA’s board of directors volunteer their time and expertise to help keep Eastwood a great place to live, work, and play. If you’re interested in serving on the board, or know someone who fits the bill, please email a brief statement outlining any connections to Eastwood and any skills and/or interests to info@eastwoodneighbor.com no later than August 31. All candidates will be reviewed by ENA’s Nominations Committee who will nominate a slate of board members for election by ENA members at our annual meeting this October.

Curb Appeal

Curb Appeal is a friendly contest to acknowledge and celebrate neighbors who put extra effort into their homes, both large and small. 

Nominate your neighbors by August 31. ENA members will vote for winners at the ENA Annual Meeting in late-October.

Calling All Dogs of Eastwood!

ENA is putting together a "Dogs of Eastwood" 2025 calendar as a fundraiser. To enter your dog, please email a pic (or several) of your dog(s) in a recognizable Eastwood location to info@eastwoodneighbor.com by September 30. Photos will be posted to our website and Facebook group and neighbors can vote for their favorite.

12 winners will be included in the calendar, receive a free calendar, and receive free ENA membership if they aren't already a member.
