Eastwood Memorial Day Parade

Join us Monday, May 26 for this beloved neighborhood tradition. The parade starts at 9 AM at James/Nichols and runs west to James/Grant. It concludes with a ceremony at Greenway Park Veterans’ Memorial honoring our fallen veterans. This has been Syracuse’s only Memorial Day Parade for 70+ years. 

You can also join a group of Eastwood bicyclists to ride in the parade

We’re also looking for well behaved dogs in patriotic outfits whose owners want to walk them in the parade. Bring your pup to line up in advance on the 100 block of Nichols Ave by 8:45 AM.

Scholarship Applications due June 2

ENA has two $1,000 scholarships available for graduating high school seniors who live in the 13206 zip code.

Eastwood Pride Flag Raising

Help us celebrate the start of Pride Month. Pride flag raising at Greenway Memorial Park (James and Grant) at 12:30 PM. Free ice cream afterwards sponsored by Fifth District Common Councilor Jimmy Monto.

Echoes of Eastwood Ghostwalk

The Onondaga Historical Association will be offering guided “ghostwalk” historic Eastwood walking tours June 20, 21, 27, and 28. You can purchase tickets at https://shop.cnyhistory.org/events

Eastwood Community Garden Improvements

The paths are done and they look SO GOOD!!!! 

These new pathways will make the Eastwood Community Garden more accessible. Thank you to the City of Syracuse Parks Department, 5th District Councilor Jimmy Monto, Eastwood TNT, the Eastwood Community Garden, and ENA’s general fund for raising the money to make these improvements possible!

• City of Syracuse - $25,000

• ENA - $5,000

• Eastwood TNT - $2,500

• Eastwood Community Garden - $2,500

We’ll announce a fundraising campaign soon for some additional improvements, perennial plants, an arbor, and more. Expect the expanded flower beds to be planted soon.
